Happy Independence Day to all the lovely Daydreamers everywhere! Glad to have met you all at the Pic a Nic a whole two years ago...and what a fine day it was...the sun was shining and the breeze was blowin', smiling faces all around. I don't think any of us could have imagined that day what a tight band would come out of the remaining crew of Dead members after FTW. I am Grateful Indeed. Here's to many more years of friendship and fun times with fine tunes...

Amazing how the time does fly, huh?? And actually, it's even longer than that given all the pre-FTW planning, logistics, ticket heartburn and spreadsheets we went through. Spreadsheets? OMG, what was I thinking...lol. I could never find the time now to do that over again - seems to be the planets and orbits aligned just right, forming that time vacancy to execute on a plan - and that we did SD'ers!! I have zero intel to confirm this, but I have a really good gut feeling that D&C are not done. I think the music will continue for at least one more tour - who knows, maybe more. Maybe they'll even play in this little state called FLORIDA one day...lol. My only regret, with three consecutive summers of the music, is not taking either of my kids to a show. Many of you have shared the experience with your kids - that is so, so awesome and without question, the #1 item on my bucket-list. Peace, love and HAPPY 4th to all!!

It was two years ago today that we all met up in Chicago for the FTW pic a nic, a lot has transpired since then. I would like to wish all th Daydreamers a Happy Independence Day and to once again thank Tony for brainstorming the idea. Without his hard work and vision it never would have been possible. I have made a number of good friends from that experience who have proven invaluable to me. We have toured together, vacationed together and grow together. Thanks to all who have contributed here, made me think, made me laugh and helped me change as a person. You know who you are. Life goes by oh so quickly, let's not waste a minute of it. Carpe Diem... https://youtu.be/_Mnw9uiYggU

What an amazing, transcendent summer celebration. "Thank You!" to the entire band for getting out there once again and making the magic! And thanks to everyone who was there along the way (or streaming from afar) for sharing the vibe and spreading the kindness with all of us. Maybe another tour after the dust settles? . . . Hope so! Onward! . . . still miss Jerry.

Top of the afternoon peeps (literally). Nothin' like some in-air GoGo wifi.....(no, rrrrrgrrrrr, not that kind of Go Go....). Okay..... so no one laugh, but I just saw this Hall and Oates concert from Dublin from last summer here on the flight. Holy shit - frickin' amazing and brought back great, great memories of their catalog of hits. Highly recommend it. Could never figure out how they were friends of the Dead but I do remember them opening up for them on the 9th of 9 straight nights at MSG in when was that?? '89? '91? Anyways, here's to hoping all the beautiful Sunshine Daydreamer's had a wonderful start to the week. Cheers !!

I had one of of those moments too. I never paid much attention to Hall & Oates other then when they were on the radio where ever I happened to be. Then I stumbled upon a show called "Live From Daryl's House" with guest Joe Walsh. Wow!!! Joe Walsh is always great, but I saw a side to Daryl Hall I never new existed. He was amazing. Same thing when he had Billy Gibbons and Todd Rungren as guests. This is a series he has been doing for seven years or so. They take place in a private studio he has put together. Best place to begin looking into this is Wikipedia.

Why do I still see me as you? BTW Hall n Oates are the best for make out music.... and the song Diddy-Do-Wop is the best white philly soul ever created.... And now directed at the female contingent representing here... .....it's a bitch girl.....cuz you've gone too far..... Said that just cuz I could....love that song...... Night peeps....and T come home from that left coast safely......

There's plenty of T's around. I don't mind my musical commentary being mocked cause I got big big trouble on the way. The mayor will be getting home from work soon and he's gonna find out I ratted him out on his tickets. I should have thought that one through. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide. What's for dinner?

We don't need no stinking badgers.... Brah... It's all good, I'm rooting for Duke, because for all crazy ass reasons....when my daughter was accepted there 7 years ago, I refused for her to attend, cuz to me $60,000+/ year x 4 years was too much for me to handle and I didn't want her to be in that much debt....for undergrad.... Looking back it was the right choice....for us....at least.... She forgave me and we are gonna watch together, she's in town for Easter week.... Godspeed to Wisconsin...beating Caliperi was sweet.... Enjoy my friend...bet you $20.... Nah....on second thought.... I wonder who the Mayor is rooting for?

Missed dinner last night. Mayor Klanks got home early. Had to flee. I was sure I had a date with the hangman. But our most benevolent mayor saw fit to spare me. The snitch is alive for another day.

All 3-day passes are half price (half of face value). But due to the recently increased taxes and SD forum maintenance fees the sales tax for each day's ticket will be 1000%. $300 3-day pass goes for $150 plus $1050 in taxes. 1 day only you can have nose bleed no view tickets for all 3 days at only 1200 per day! Today only...

Glad to see my Blue Devil's won last night. Graduated in 83 and was there when they hired Coack K. We were not very good back then for a couple of years. Got to see Michael Jordan play in college. 3rd Dead Concert was 4/2/82 at Cameron Indoor. Volunteered to be an usher so got to see the show for free. After the first set was able to go down front and be done working. Still have my t-shirt I got that night. I believe that was the show that Jerry and Bob switched sides? Steve

Hard fought victory. Great game. I've always been a fan of Coach K. Like I said about the Badger last night; it don't look like me. Not mine. But I did enjoy riding with him this season. Alas...the $20...it's been in the cave so damn long it's deflated. Doesn't buy what it used to.
