Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we'll cover 15 years of Grateful Dead history with music from 1969, 1978 and 1984.

Our first selection is from 4/20/69 in Worcester, MA, when the Dead were continuing their excellent run of shows in the winter and spring of 1969 with this excellent show, from the cassette master, from Worcester, featuring Morning Dew, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, Doin' That Rag.

From nine years later on 4/18/78 at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, we have first set music, featuring Beat It On Down The Line ; Loser ; El Paso ; Tennessee Jed.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 4/23/84 in New Haven, CT, featuring a very unique sequence of Iko Iko ; Lost Sailor> Saint Of Circumstance > Space > Uncle John's Band > Space > Only A Fool > Jam. This is the only Grateful Dead performance of Brent's Only A Fool.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

Hey Man, Fantastic sequence from 1969 Diggin' it, hiss and all A recording history marker if ever there was one... (No Dolby as yet) As for April 1984: attended/recorded nearly all of it. Not great vocals, but check the UJB here in this sequence. Drums not included here, but Fantastic Drums on 4/23/84 followed by Garcia's noodling re-entry Merci beaucoup Monsieur Lemieux shwack in nh
