as I recall, Jerry didn't leave the stage between NFA and MH
I recall him standing there doing the NFA riff like the rock of Gibraltar :)))

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have some fine Grateful Dead music from 1974, 1982 and 1984.

Our first stop is on 7/27/74 during the Dead's final American tour with the Wall Of sound. After this tour ended on 8/6/74 in NJ, they would play a European tour followed by five nights at Winterland, and then would pack it in. From Roanoke, we have U.S. Blues > The Promised Land ; Brokedown Palace ; Not Fade Away > Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad > Johnny B. Goode.

From eight years later on 7/28/82 at Red Rocks, we have this unique second set sequence of Althea ; Let It Grow > He's Gone> Truckin'.

Lastly this week is this terrific sequence of music from the final night of a tour night at Ventura County Fairgrounds on 7/22/84, featuring Morning Dew > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away, In The Midnight Hour > Brokedown Palace.

I hope everyone had some good time off over the holiday. See you here next week with more great music from the Grateful Dead's archive.

Cool show. Folks want to hear a St. Stephen tease in the 2nd half of set II, but I don't buy it. It sounds like a NFA Jam to me.
