that 81 stuff blew my mind last night
the Space > NFA is brief, but then: Morning Dew! I had a speedy cassette of that set for years. Hearing it at proper speed is a good thing.

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1973, 1981 and 1987.

First up is music from 9/24/73 at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, where we have this great batch of second set Dead: China Doll ; Truckin' > Nobody's Fault But Mine > Eyes Of The World > Weather Report Suite ; Sugar Magnolia.

Next is the post-Drums sequence from 9/26/81 in Buffalo as part of a very short three show tour the Dead played just before leaving for Europe where they’d start a tour on September 30 in Scotland. From The Aud in Buffao, we have Space > Not Fade Away> Morning Dew> Playing In The Band > One More Saturday Night.

Lastly this week, from 9/22/87 in Philadelphia, we have the start of the second set, including the first song with Spencer Davis: Gimme Some Lovin; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider > Samson And Delilah; Terrapin Station.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
