Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we’ll check out some Grateful Dead music from 1976, 1980 and 1981, a great five year span of Dead.
First up this week is the bulk of the first set from 10/1/76 in Indianapolis, where we have a classic (and excellent) batch of 1976 Grateful Deal ; Cassidy; Friend Of The Devil , Big River, Brown Eyed Women , It's All Over Now, Scarlet Begonias,The Promised Land
Next is the start of the third set from 10/2/80 at the Warfield in San Francisco, where we have this cool, and slightly different, set-opening sequence of Drums > Comes A Time > Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance > Terrapin Station > Playing In The Band
Lastly this week is the end of the show from 9/27/81 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, where we have Spanish Jam > Wharf Rat > I Need A Miracle > Good Lovin'; Baby Blue. The band left the next day for Scotland, where they’d open a three week tour of Europe.
Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the vault.
