Here’s some new old stuff, really new actually. Apparently it’s the first time that this show has been digitally circulated. I’m going to include 2 CD-R’s with flac files and the 3 audio discs. Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders Keystone Berkeley, CA January 19, 1973 (Friday) Betty Cantor's 10" master sbd reels @ 7.5ips 1/2trk > ? > CD > EAC > CDWave > TLH (FLAC level 8). Disc One (4 tracks, 61:42) --Set I-- d1t01. //Dancin' in the Moonlight [#6:07] [0:33] d1t02. Lonely Avenue [18:24] [2:36] d1t03. Expressway // (To Your Heart) [19:45] [3:38] d1t04. Honey Chile [11:30] 1:43] --Set II-- d2t03. //It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry [#7:25] [0:59] d2t04. Find a Rainbow [15:10] [1:57] d2t05. Georgia // On My Mind [10:#08] [0:12] Disc Three (4 tracks, 26:52) --Set II con't-- d3t01. Tuning [1:19] d3t02. Soul Roach [7:20] [1:01] d3t03. Go Climb A Mountain [10:19] [0:13] d3t04. How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) [6:11] [0:28] Lineup: - Jerry Garcia (guitar, vocals); - Marty David (bass); - Merl Saunders (keyboards); - Sara Fulcher (vocals); - Bill Vitt (drums). Notes: - If you like early '73 Garcia/Saunders, and especially Sara Fulcher's vocal stylings, you'll love this. Lots of super-rare Fulcher-dominated tunes here. This version of Lonely Avenue is top-shelf, as is Soul Roach. - d1t01 Dancin' in the Moonlight cuts in, significant level fluctuations. - d1t02 Lonely Avenue is tremendous. - d1t03 Expressway splice @ 17:49. - d2t03 ITALTL, ITATTC cuts in. - d2t04 after Find a Rainbow, Garcia tries to noodle into another song, but gives up. - d2t05 Georgia on My Mind splice @ 6:21. (1) 1970 SHN/FLAC Part 2, which will consist of everything (or just about) from 3/20-9/20;(2) Early 1973 SHN/FLAC, which will have everything from 2/9-3/21; (3) November 1972, which will have the SBDs from that month, replacing Bob's defunct vine; and finally, (4) The 1977 Project, which will have every show from 1977, multiple sources for many. I might get more from my other source. I am especially hoping for the last part of 1973, which would mean the entire year would be available here.

unless you tell me otherwise, I figure you're preannouncing these vines and they're not ready to have their own topics/signups yet. Lemme know if I should post them now instead.

Does anyone out there have a collection of Little Feat, with Lowell George? I have a real good recording of a 2 set gig in Denver, at Ebbets Field on 7/19/73, and am seeking the incredibly hot show from Macky Auditorium, Boulder, CO, I think from 1976 or 1977, with Pablo Cruise.

This vine contains just about everything from the beginning of 1973 through 3/21/73 (the beginning of the multipart 1973 SHN/FLAC vine). 4 DVDs. Please leave it as SHN/FLAC only. Note that 2/26 and 2/28 were released as a DP, so only those tracks that did NOT appear on the offical release will be on this vine. For 2/26, that is about half a dozen tracks and for 2/28 only Promised Land. First person to sign up after Marye creates a thread, please PM me your info. Hi everybody! I would love to share this experience with you all. This performance on "the 4th day of July" has to go down into the history books as one for the ages in my humble opinion. This is a mighty fine AUD recording and many thanks to nakguy for the up-load, but towards the end, notably the encore, you can hear the popping of the fireworks. The editing softens the sound a bit but just thought I'd mention it. I will include flac files and audio CD's. This is a monster show - it takes 4 CD's to fit it all. First things first. I am sure I speak for everyone as I say thank you to all who contributed to the 1977 project!!! Rick, Richard, jackstrawfromcolorado, pomo1, Estim8ed, Hippy, Arkdeadhead and CB all helped to bring this vine to fruition. Take a bow, gentlemen. I am breaking this vine down into parts. This part contains 5 DVDs. I have eliminated a few sources so as to reduce the total number of DVDs. If I had both a SBD and a MTX source for a show, I included both. If I had 2 or more SBDs I tried to reduce the number. I have tried to select the best sources for each show. Hopefully, I have been successful. There are some shows for which it was difficult and I included more than I would have liked. . The first 4 slots for this part, and for each subsequent part, are reserved for the contributors who don't already have everything. I am certain everyone is fine with that. Rick, Richard, CB, please let me know if you need anything and I will burn DVDs for you. Hippy, I am burning DVDs for you as I go along. Hey now,Fluffhead and I are putting together this vine and we are trying to include some other rothbury band performances beyond The Dead show. May or may not happen .. so far we have string cheese and govt mule. Regardless, the Dead show alone is by far worth it. It will be seeded soon at a vine yard near you! :-) "I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel. Can't win for tryin. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time. Gonna make em shine."

I hate being the douchebag that held up all those vines. I finally got a ride to the post office on Saturday. You will see them tommorow. Thanks all for being so patient. ~Love~ Scotty (Canyon Critter) _____________________________________________ Will you come with me? Marye I stumbled onto Vineing (sp) this evening just poking around after not checking in for a while. This is really cool. It happily reminds me of the early taping days, sending cassettes back and forth. All of you work I'm sure is GRATEFULLY appreciated by all. i can't wait to sort it out and jump in Cheers Buffalo

I’ve been into these guys for a few years now. Saw my first YMSB show in Columbia, MO when I was 18 and have seen them a few times since then. I dont know if alot of you have heard these guys but if you love bluegrass and Jam bands I’m sure they will become one of your favorites. This is a good matrix recording, most YMSB recordings seem to be. I think that I’ll just include the audio cd’s of this and maybe some bonus material if I can find it. If there is interest in YMSB and there should be, I would add the following show to the April 10th, 2009 show. ( I was at this April 24 show.) YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND April 24, 2009 (Fri) Knitting Factory Spokane, WA Source: soundboard > Hines' mix-master extravaganza (sorry, it's hush-hush) > digi-coax > Tascam DA-20mkII* Transfer: master DAT/master deck (Tascam DA-20mkII *) > PC harddrive via coax > Audiophile 2496 soundcard > Sound Forge 6.0 (normalized to peak, minor edits, resampled to 44.1) > CD Wave Editor (sector boundaries verified, tracking) > FLAC Frontend (level 8). Break between discs is seamless. Recorded and mastered by Pastor Tim (YonderArchive @yahoo.com). Thanks to Ben 'Leatherface' Hines for the always-kind soundboard patch and fine headphone stereo effects; * and to Chris Mrachek for the uber-kind emergency loan of his Tascam DA-20mkII. Here is the second part of our adventure through 1970. All of the files are in SHN/FLAC. 4 DVDs of just about everything from 3/20-9/20 plus a CD of 3/8. I live 10 minutes from Cotati and the old site of the Inn of the Beginning. I met Marmaduke in 1991 in Larkspur (Marin County, CA) at a little GD boutique shop just down the road from where I lived in Greenbrae. Very cool cat. "when life looks like easy street, there is danger at your door"

Been on the sidelines - feeling overlooked, absorbed in my own circumstances - but struggling to break out of that. nobody seems to remember when (once upon a time) i was the hall monitor & finder of lost vines - even went as far as to send a fake "official GD" letter to a few folks - it was a hoot - but it worked. The crowd of usual suspects changed over time & some new folks became old folks & some left us & some have always been here. For a while, I was pumping out a new vine every week (about 30 or so) - but dropped off partly due to not having anything particularly new or rare to share. Recently, been getting back into Hunter & thought i'd offer up this little vine (which will grow to more shows by the time it goes out in the mail - most likely on a DVD with a mix of FLAC & SHN. Thanks Marye --------------------- Robert Hunter ------------------------ 04/25/02 Belcourt Theater - Nashville, TN 03/01/97 Fox Theatre - Boulder, CO 03/02/97 Fox Theatre - Boulder, CO 02/07/80 Fast Lane - Asbury Park, N.J. 04/25/02 Belcourt Theater - Nashville, TN Source: Mic's ?-> Lunatec V2-> Tascam DA-P1-> SHN This show may be the gem of the tour & an excellent quality recording. In RH's own words: "Really poured my heart out to old Nashville tonight. So glad to be here and performing for a sophisticated music audience who know how to listen, which allows more risk taking than usual. Voice well broken in now, strongest of the tour. Got out on some limbs tonight, explaining that my pleasure is to dive into empty pools on the off-chance there'll be a flash flood on my way down." ---RH seemed to relish occupying the same stage as so many greats of the past (The Belcourt Theater was the original home of "The Grand Ole' Opry") He plays for nearly 3 hrs. For all her hard work here to make the vineyard so much fun. Second I'd like to start another vine this one for may 81. Meanwhile I'm working on some summer 81 shows that I can start up a bit later.... "I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel. Can't win for tryin. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time. "We need more 81" I thought I heard them say, or maybe it was those darn voices in my head again. Regardless I'd like to offer up 5 shows from May 81 (well 1 from April and 4 from May) all of which are top notch Charlie Miller sbd's. They are shn/flac files on a DVD. I love the 80's especially early on and these are great shows in my opinion. I miss you Brent. Note: The 5/8 show is already included on the enter the matrix vine but I thought since this is a different source that it would be hopefully ok to include here. gd81-04-30.sbd.miller gd81-05-08.sbd.miller gd81-05-13.sbd.miller gd81-05-15.sbd.miller gd81-05-16.sbd.miller Stay tuned for a summer 81 vine!
