Dick's18 disc 3 has my favorite keep the airplane flying while building it until the crew can get Bob's mike to work intro to Samson. Jerry just goes on for minutes and never runs out and still comes back for a great solo later. Priceless.
    Cheers
Holy cow! The 57 listening party Jack Straw! Whoa, shades of Red Rocks. The volume! New amps then or what Oro?

Sounds like a great idea after a "long hard day at the playground" (playground = Gila National Forest near Luna, NM). After all, this was my first show ; )
Going with Charlie MIller whole show SDB, at least for the 1st Set. Don't have my copy of DiP 18 at hand.
Super excited for DaP 57 from the Mighty Uptown Theatre and mere days before. That run apparently marks the first shows for my close friend Rick the Magician who is "pretty sure" he saw every Dead show at the Uptown except one. Also there was a Jerry show after those in 11/17/81 (BlueCrow was there too).
Snow incoming here. Which is fitting cause it was a good old fashion Midwest storm outside for Dane Co.
Also, if I remember correctly, our very own Oroboros ("Oro1"?) met up with Jerry the morning after the Dane Co. show and in that conversation was likely planted the seed for the "trip" to Omaha in July (7/5/78).

Really superb recording quality. I love Fall 77 why don't I listen to more early 78? More music than time!

    excellent show
probably won't be released due to lack of soundboard and abrupt cut in Scarlet and splice in Truckin'
    regardless...worth a listen on archive
    God bless the GD
