Joined:Nice to see the love for Hershey. Currently on 10/12/1984After 35 years or so of listening to tapes from this tour, Hershey is still my favorite from summer '85. Honorable mention for River Bend (rightly released) and Blossom (a curious omission). But ofc YMMV.

With the news about Dave's 60, I decided to listen to some '84. Last night I realized I had a nice matrix of 4/14/84 so I gave the second set a listen. Good stuff! But then again, I've always been an '84 fan. I had Vegas 4/6 and BCT 11/2 in my early collecting days. Now on 10/12/1984. I see why this one got released in 30 Trips, it's good stuff - feels like the band members were listening to each other. Phil is on, too - his recent marriage to Jill seemed to really pump him up that Fall. Ah Phil me lad, we miss ye. But that's quite a ramble of a paragraph - point is, count me excited for Dave's 60. - PT Barnum

So all I wanted to say is in our area, we are all going to early vote on the 17th of October. We will try and make Saturday the biggest turn out for midterms ever. We all plan on voting Blue, straight down the ticket. All amendments to the state constitution, NO, All bonds on the ballot, YES. We are hoping this will be the biggest turnout of blue voters EVER. Down with the king, destroy the republican party, they are, as was said by others, a cult, and the worst kind of cult. WE WILL WIN and drive out these traitors from our country. Finally!
Destination seen unclearly…
But what would be the answer to the answer man?
Edit
A) PHEW, nice start!
B) Definitely “Haa rryy” “hey Harry turn up the kick drum etc”
You can often hear the drummers barking orders at monitor man Harry Popick throughout the years, especially during quiet parts of drums/spaces etc
Why he’s getting extra treatment here, especially the kissing sounds is a matter of speculation, but I’m wondering if it was an anniversary or maybe he had a new flame.
The crew was notorious for acting inappropriately (by todays standards) when ever any dared to bring a female around. See Phils comments in his book about this when he started bringing his future wife Jill around…And of course it’s all sampling, like the James Brown Gotsta be funky before Richmond (I think?) boys with new toys are gonna use em lol
