Finishing up my listening project from yesterday.
A distracted listen for 2-22 and it was great.
Last night 2-23 and a close listen. The W.O.S. was very evident and it seemed like Keith had his own channel or was higher in the mix than usual. I know there is some tech behind mixing the Wall house mix down to a stereo mix and it is likely beyond me but if anyone can give me the simple explanation of that process it would be interesting. 2-23 had the mic issues early on but had settled down (mostly) by HCS and that one and WRS are epic. Phil really shines here. He almost carries the melody as well as the complimentary bass line. Very cool. Kinda wish the songs had been left in order though. I'd be willing to put up with a break in song instead of the wrong order most times.
Onward to 2-24 today with the cold rain and snow outside. Amen to that moisture Oro.
    Cheers

J918- yep there were some killer D/S in those last years.
a personal ask - it would be great if clean full SBDs for 6/13/94 and 5/25/95, both at Memorial Stadium in Seattle, would finally circulate. 6/13 Set II was awesome and ended with a sweet, Jerry's cup runneth over, Morning Dew. D>S for 5/25 was wild and melted into a beautiful Wheel, which turned out to be the last performance of one my most dearly held GD songs.

Headed out shortly this morning to work in Prairie Chicken habitat near the land of aliens. Be well folks in these troubled times.

Set 2, pre-drums. I absolutely love the John Cutler mix on these 94-95 boards. I wish the great Spring 1993 Tour was recorded like these. Very crisp and clean. I don't dislike the Healy 93 boards, they sound great too.....but man I love these Cutler mix ones!

Also, a big shout out to Mickey and Billy! The true MVP's of 94-95 shows, with some of the best drums and space of the bands career!

    Rock, on gang

Shrine Exposition Hall, LA. Next stop in the 30 Trips box.
Best day of the year in the CLE. Sunny and 67°. That's really nice for March 6th. Dogsitting for my son this weekend. Took a walk in the Metroparks and drove home with the windows open.

    …on such a winters day!
Well, the good, no great news is we finally received some moisture as this place is already a tinder box! Been here thirty years and never experienced a winter drought this scary…
the bad news is looking like multiple shovels of wet Sierra see-ment today.
But then we’ll warm up next to a hot stereo and drift and dream to
    5/23/93 and
    5/25/93
    Onward!
