Third of five programs featuring the complete unreleased soundboard recording of 4/17/71 at Princeton University in New Jersey.
In the early ‘80s I asked Phil Lesh if he had a favorite Pigpen performance he coined recommend. Without hesitation, he pointed me to “the Prince-Pen tape,” which included an epic reading of “Good Lovin’” with a delightfully raunchy story in the middle of it and some great jamming too.
Enjoy!
