UPDATED: New York and D.C. Premieres Of The Film THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED

There is a very special creation in our Grateful Dead world.

As many of you may have followed, Bob and I appeared at the Sundance Film Festival in support of the new movie, The Music Never Stopped. It's a film based on Dr. Oliver Sacks case study known as "The Last Hippie." Grateful Dead music becomes a catalyst and unifying energy that is at the heart of this story about a young man who has a tumor in his brain and his clock kind of stops in 1968. He connects with Grateful Dead music and visits us with Dr. Sacks at Madison Square Garden in 1991. This event connects him with his life again. The movie shows the power of music in a way that we are all very proud of.

Dr. Sacks, Jim Kohlberg and I will take questions following the film.

    See you there!

    In rhythm,

    Mickey

The Music Never Stopped premiere will be held on March 16, 2011 at the KAUFMANN CONCERT HALL AT THE 92ND STREET Y. For tickets and more information, visit 92Y.org or call 212.415.5500.

Stay tuned for more coverage on this very special event plus the Washington, D.C. premiere which will feature a post screening discussion with Mickey, Jim Kohlberg, and Dr. Sacks, moderated by Tipper Gore.

Wouldn't it be great to know exactly how that worked and replicate it for other individuals with similar and and dis-similar maladies? I suspect there was heavy karma between the band and this individual and a synergy from the audience also that tapped into a healing field of energy. But, what do I know.? Hope to be there and see the movie and ask more questions. (From the 7 Medicine Buddhas Pure realm)

I have related on other forums here how the music of the Dead has helped my son with autism connect with me and others. I'm sure this is a powerful story!
