Week of April 6-12, 2020
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music covering a short span, only eight years, but featuring three distinct iteratons of the band.
Our first selection is a classing late-1971, Skull & Roses-era jam featuring Truckin'> Drums > The Other One> Me And My Uncle > The Other One> Wharf Rat from 11/14/71 in Fort Worth, TX, just a few weeks after Keith joined the band.
From seven years later, we have the end of the show from 11/18/78 at the Uptown Theatre in Chicago, where we have Space>Ollin Arageed > Wharf Rat > Sugar Magnolia, One More Saturday Night, featuring a taste of Egypt coming out of Space.
From a year later, on 11/10/79 in Ann Arbor, MI, we have the end of the show, featuringSpace> Not Fade Away> Black Peter > Sugar Magnolia, One More Saturday Night.
Be sure to stop in next week for more music from the vault.
