Week of August 17-23, 2020
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from the 1990s.
First up is the entire first set from the third night of a tour-opening three night run at the Capital Center in Landover, MD on 3/16/90, where we have Let The Good Times Roll ; Touch Of Grey ; New Minglewood Blues ; Peggy-O ; Queen Jane Approximately ; Loser ; Black Throated Wind ; Bird Song ; Blow Away, including the first Black Throated Wind in 16 years.
From the same venue a year later, on 3/17/91, we have the start of the second set, featuring China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; Crazy Fingers>Truckin'>New Speedway Boogie, including the first East Coast New Speedway Boogie in 21 years (they’d brought it back a month earlier in California).
Lastly this week is the end of the second set from 3/11/93 in Rosemont, IL, including a special guest appearance by Ken Nordine: Space > Flibberty Jib On The Bippity Bop > The Island > Space > The Other One > Days Between > Around And Around.
