Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1970, 1977, and 1984.
Our first stop this week is at Winterland on 4/15/70, where we have this classic 1970 sequence of Dancing In The Street, Turn On Your Lovelight > Not Fade Away > Turn On Your Lovelight.
From the third show of the Spring Tour of 1977, on 4/25/77 in Passaic, NJ, we have this first set sequence of Mama Tried; They Love Each Other; Looks Like Rain; Peggy-O ; Lazy Lightnin' > Supplication ; Ship Of Fools ; Estimated Prophet; Brown Eyed Women.
Lastly this week is the end of the show from 4/16/84 in Rochester, the Dead’s penultimate stop at the War Memorial, where we have Space > The Other One > Stella Blue > Around And Around > Johnny B. Goode, Day Job.

Gorgeous improvisational wandering journey for 13 minutes as prelude to The Other One. Not really Space as labelled but goes straight into a great noodling Jam I would say in this chunk. Phil finally hits the opening bomb at 14,30 into it.
This one has the energy.
