Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1980, and 1989.
Our first stop this week is on 12/11/72 at Winterland in San Francisco, where we have a classic 1972 sequence from the first set of China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider; Box Of Rain; He's Gone; Around And Around; Friend Of The Devil; Me And My Uncle ; Big Railroad Blues; Playing In The Band.
Next is the end of the second set from 12/13/80 at Long Beach Arena, where we have Space> Not Fade Away> Black Peter> Sugar Magnolia, One More Saturday Night.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from the seventh and final show the Dead played at Great Western Forum in Inglewood, CA, where we have Jack Straw > China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider, Man Smart (Woman Smarter).

Long Beach.
A sample of this show was download of the day #26 back in 2023 for November 30 Days of Dead daze. A real good "Sailor~Saint>>Deal" for a first set closer. Makes you wonder if the next time 1980 rolls around for a Dave's release, this may well be the pick.
I heard some of 12/14/80 recently....

Here's a request to make the digital download available, as the soundboard was only in circulation for a short time in an all-or-nothing box set. What a show that was!
And June 4, 1977... Is there a soundboard of this in the vault? It's never circulated except as an audience tape, far as I know.
