    '81 clip
Thanks for the tunes as always, DL...the crowd is going (justifiably) nuts after the Me and My Uncle->Mexicali Blues combo. Wow, simply blistering!

    love this '69..
Winterland clip! Especially the little "ditty" jam at the beginning. Feeling warmer already. Thanks! *date stamp: "this is a song that is dedicated to the Zodiac cat and, also, to paranoid fantasies everywhere."

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where we roll through the depths of winter with music from 1969, 1981 and 1994.

Our first stop is on 10/26/69 at Winterland in San Francisco, where we have music from the early part of the show featuring Jam, Hard To Handle, Cold Rain and Snow, Me and My Uncle, Next Time You See Me, Dire Wolf, Casey Jones.

Next up, because we can never have too many versions of Me and My Uncle out there, we have music from 9/27/81 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, featuring the end of the first set: Me and My Uncle>Mexicali Blues, It Must Have Been The Roses, Lost Sailor>Saint Of Circumstance.

Lastly this week is some music from the more recent Grateful Dead past, only 20 years ago, where we have the start of the second set from 10/5/94 in Philadelphia, featuring Midnight Hour>Cumberland Blues, Playing In The Band>Uncle John's Band>Jam. I have a soft spot for Midnight Hour, the first song I ever saw the Grateful Dead perform live in concert.

Be sure to join us next week for more tunes from the vault.

This was my first venture to Philly. I had a wonderful time here. A pretty good show for '94. Not too many good ones in the later years. It's good to hear the vault recording, although I've had a soundboard of this show for a few years. This sounds great.

Thanks for the '94 David. I always liked 10/10/94 in Landover. It was a very fun night!
