Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we’ll check out some Grateful Dead music from 1971, 1972, and 1978.
Our first stop is on 8/15/71 at Berkeley Community Theatre, where we have this classic 1971 sequence featuring Truckin'> Drums> The Other One> Me And My Uncle> The Other One> Wharf Rat; Turn On Your Lovelight, Johnny B. Goode>We Bid You Goodnight.
Next up is a great second set sequence from 8/12/72 in Sacramento, just a few weeks before the classic Veneta show. From California’s capital, we have Greatest Story Ever Told; Ramble On Rose; Beat It On Down The Line; He's Gone > Drums > The Other One > Black Peter > The Other One ; Truckin'.
Lastly this week is the end of the show from 4/21/78 in Lexington, KY, where we have this batch of terrific Dead music, featuring Drums> Jam> Stella Blue; Truckin'> Playing In The Band, Werewolves of London.
