Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1969, 1972, and 1991.
Our first stop this week is from 8/30/69 at the Family Dog in San Francisco, where we have the penultimate version of China Cat before it was joined to Rider a month later on 9/30/69. From the end of August, we have China Cat Sunflower> Doin' That Rag; Morning Dew; Easy Wind.
Next is the music from the final night of the four night run at Berkeley Community Theatre on 8/25/72 , where we have Jack Straw ; Friend Of The Devil ; The Promised Land ; Bird Song ; Playing In The Band.
Lastly this week we have the start of the second set from 8/18/91 at Shoreline Amphitheatre, where we have this very different second set sequence featuring Deal; Samson And Delilah; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo; Feel Like A Stranger.
