Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1980, and 1988.
Our first stop this week is on 8/24/72 at Berkeley Community Theatre, where we have this classic 1972 sequence of Promised Land; Sugaree; Jack Straw; China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider; Me And My Uncle; Bird Song.
Next is the end of the show from 8/27/80 at Pine Knob in Michigan, where we have this terrific sequence of Not Fade Away>Stella Blue>I Need A Miracle> Bertha>Good Lovin'.
Lastly this week is the second set from 8/26/88 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA, where we have China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Playing In The Band > Uncle John's Band > Drums > Space > Touch Of Gray > I Need A Miracle > Black Peter > Turn On Your Lovelight, Black Muddy River. The end of the encore is cut off, but the vault does have a master tape that is intact.
