Next up is the entire first set from 7/21/84 in Ventura, CA, featuring Shakedown Street; Little Red Rooster; Althea ; Me And My Uncle> Mexicali Blues; China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider; Looks Like Rain; Might As Well, including a rare mid-set China>Rider.
Lastly this week is the end of the first set from 7/18/89 at Alpine, the middle night of the Dead’s final run at Alpine, featuring New Minglewood Blues; Friend Of The Devil; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again; Bird Song; The Promised Land.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

Dark Star jam
If it isn't a preliminary jingle to later become Slipknot when recorded on the Blues for Allah album. It may have originally been formed as the jazzy sequence (coda) during Eyes of the World in several versions in 1973 and 1974.
I first heard the coda jam during Eyes at the 2/22/73 show in Champaign, IL.
