Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1971, 1982, and 1989.
Our first stop this week is at Terminal Island Correction Facility near Long Beach, CA, on 8/4/71, when the Grateful Dead stopped in to play a show for Bear, who was a guest there from 1970 to 1972. From the end of this unique show we have Not Fade Away > Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad > Turn On Your Lovelight.
Next is the start of the second set from 8/8/82, the Dead’s first multi-night run at Alpine Valley, where we have Far From Me, Scarlet Begonias>Fire On The Mountain.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 8/6/89 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA, where we have Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain; Samson And Delilah, Ship Of Fools, Man Smart (Woman Smarter).
