    The Foolish Heart from Alpine
The Foolish Heart from Alpine Valley is featured on one of the boxed sets, too (can't remember which one right now, but very distinctive, especially where Jerry goes around again on the guitar solo) While we're at it... My favorite Box of Rain is from 9/19/87, after a We Want Phil chant from the crowd. I heard 9/18/87 was going to be released. D'oh! I mean, that was a good show, sure. There weren't any bad ones in '87! But still, 9/19 had some great jams; Crazy Fingers>UJB>a nice long Playin; Maggie's Farm (on TV!) for the Farm Aid benefit happening that day; nice Lovelight at the end. And, I personally had a blast :) Fun hearing the China>Rider in the middle of the set on the Ventura show, too. Thanks, Dave! Good work

    nice call smallz
Fallout From the Phil Zone "Box of Rain" , I was listening to interview disc from Phil Zone and he was very picky, in regard to choosing which "Box of Rain" to use. A couple others were in the running, which he did not mention the dates. I am curious to know the others, but that "Box of Rain" from Alpine Valley is so sweet.

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from three phases of the Brent era: early 80s, mid 80s, late 80s.

Our first selection this week is from the Oklahoma City Zoo on 7/5/81, where we have a batch of mid first set music, featuring C.C. Rider ; They Love Each Other ; Mama Tried > Mexicali Blues; Althea.

Next up is the entire first set from 7/21/84 at Ventura County Fairgrounds, which is located on near the beach on the stretch of highway 101 between Santa Barbara and LA. From this show, we have Shakedown Street; Little Red Rooster; Althea ; Me And My Uncle > Mexicali Blues ; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Looks Like Rain ; Might As Well.

Lastly this week we have the start of the second set from the last-ever Grateful Dead show at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in Wisconsin, on 7/19/89. From this great show, we have Box Of Rain, Foolish Heart > Looks Like Rain> Terrapin Station.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

I've always loved this version of BOR. It's on the Phil Zone compilation where I heard it the first.

Agreed all three worthy of release, I'm 100% sure they will make the next 3 DaPicks- 18, 19, and 20, 2016 taken care of. I'll wake up now. Dreaming is Healthy.
