Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1970, 1972, and 1993.
Our first stop this week is the Dead’s first trip to Hawaii, on 1/23/70, where we have the end of the featuring St. Stephen>Lovelight.
Next is music from the excellent 12/11/72 show at Winterland, where we have China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider; Box Of Rain ; He's Gone; Around And Around; Friend Of The Devil ; Me And My Uncle; Big Railroad Blues; Playing In The Band.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 1/26/93 in Oakland, where we have this sequence of Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; Eyes Of The World > Estimated Prophet > Terrapin Station.

!. Wondering why Pigpen is so sullen sounding during Love Light. The whole Hawaii 70 concert has been making me get up early on Mondays and Fridays. 2 The 2nd show is the perfect 58 min going for a drive The set list in 72 at Winterland say it all. 3 Wow. Nice way to start the 2nd set .Vince was a very gentle soul. It came through all of the Hot Seat keyboard players. Thanx Dave & Co
