Week of September 8-14, 2025
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1969, 1981, and 1991.
From a month after the famous Fillmore West run that produced much of Live/Dead, we have this great sequence from 3/28/69 in Modesto, CA: Dark Star> St. Stephen > The Eleven> Death Don't Have No Mercy> Turn On Your Love Light.
Next, from the final night if the great four night run in London in March 1981, we have this second set opening sequence from 3/24/81: Shakedown Street, Lost Sailor>Saint Of Circumstance>He's Gone.
Lastly, from 3/25/91 in Albany, we have this end of show sequence: Space > The Other One>Black Peter>Throwing Stones>Playing In The Band, Turn On Your Lovelight.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

Where is the button?
What are the selections for this week? Are y'all giving up on the features part of the web site?
Only one loaded
Steve, much like last week's Jam-o-Week you can access the one clip they loaded from the home page on the Listen Now button below the icon for Taper's. There are 3 slots but only one is loaded with a 47 minute clip from '80s-'90s era. I haven't identified it yet but starts with a Space that has Jerry's signature midi bassoon sound. Might be heading for a TOO. This is like the November 30 days of dead where you have to guess. Almost a challenge, lol.
Cheers
Yep, it's The Other One > Black Peter..... (I can here Vince now so it's '90s) > Throwing Stones > Playin' Reprise which makes this 3-25-91 Knickerbocker, Albany if I have guessed right. I just realized from a mis-hit on google that November is the month of the dead in Catholicism. Go figure!

Burned
Misled by Rhino into ordering Blues For Allah DVD for 10 dollars more than dead.net, before dead.net had a pre-order. Does this fall into the never-trust-a-prankster territory? Displeased. Only posting this here for lack of a more relevant place.
Tapers section
Very confused. I liked old format where I could see what was going to be played
