It will probably be this weekend before I can mail this out. I have to go to work in the morning, and I will be getting another Talking Heads to add to it later this week.(Thanks Orboros) I might mention that these all came from further and etree which only support legaly traded live tapes. I might also mention that it might be a little bigger than 8 discs(sorry dstache) I am a little bit of a vine pimp : ) Its the same amount of music but it filled more dvds than I thought. Yes, it's all on dvds.

It's at least 8 but lopezz thought it would pan out to more than that.

Just a thought, I plan on just copying each dvd and sending the vine on, converting it later, to keep it moving.

I just wanted to warn some of the people signing up, I know there are some that are unable to handle DVDs - it wasn't specifically pointed out in the header above. I hope to pitch in to the decoding-to-wav and reseeding w/CDs that should happen in the future. Hate for my DVD-less brothers and sisters to miss out on Janis! Sorry I didnt state that. And it is pretty big, but it still fits in a 6x9 mailer. I just copy strait to my hard disc and never make dvd copies, but I have a lot of room. I was hoping that some of you would later vine some of this stuff out on cds. Not all at the same time.(dont want to bury marye) The Dire Straits, and U2 sound as clear as some of the best Dead I have heard. The Jefferson Airplane too, There is a set at Wally Heider's studio( same as the PERRO tapes) That is unbelievable!

Another Talking Heads was added.(2 audio cd's) And I couldnt get Phil to fit,no matter how much I Squeezed. Oh well, They probably deserve their own vine. Their 2008 Warfeild run and their 1999 run are a good match. Enjoy-Vine on!

I wanted to remind everyone (again) who signs up for this vine that they are on dvd's. If you cannot handle that format, wait. I know at least a couple of the recipients plan on vining some of these out on cd's. Also let me thank them ( and marye )in advance, thanks : )

Wanna take a vote to decide what shows to go to CD vines first? Seemed to be a few Talking Heads heads per other posts, so I'd thought I'd get that one started quick. Given the earlier '76 and '77 JGB vines I also thought there would be some yearning for JGB '78 vines also. Gotta get the Janis going quick, too, there's not enough Janis around. And N. as some vetrens here know I copy the dvd`s and convert later for myself ,,it helps to keep it moving .. but as it seems to continue to grow I might be inclined to convert A show or maybe two ,, I feel a need to give back something .. my music collection has more then quadrupled sinse I`ve been here .. And some of the Beutifull tunes from the vineyard will be x-mass gifts for freinds and familly . (yea no shopping!) so thank you all who seed and tend to the vines !!What can I do to help our flacless brothers and sisters ?

Sure pomo1, that would be cool! Start your own vine with them as you see fit. They all may not be the best quality- so listen before you burn. I think MarkintheDark plans to do a Talking Heads vine. Thanks, Happy Holidays Robert

Sounds like markinthedark is back in the dvd business so this will go out to him tommorrow.I am a little prehistoric with my transfering from flac to wave as far as text files go, but am working on that so I may be able to do the Airplane vine. Hey folks , I got slightley confused on this one , i had originally though this is like any other vine ,, convert a few shows and away she go`s . that`s not the way we are doing this one ..Just to clarify any more posible confusion this vine is like a seed vine . We are copy`ing the shn/flac files , then convert & burn as we have time and send out new vines on cdr`s from this shn/flac vine .( kinda like vining the same thing twice ) so folks ahead of me on this list need to be able to work dvd`s ..This is not for the shn/flacless folk . this is correct , as per Lopezz .. BTY , I`ll work on the CSNY as a future cdr vine .. if anyone has anymore CSN&Y to add to this let me know and we`ll see what we can do ... Does this look correct folks ? Unless work starts calling me like it did yesturday , my largest customer i hav`nt heard from in almost a year , finally had work for me .. and he had to put it on his charge account :-( ...He`ll pay eventually ... anyway off to Tommo , and I`ll start working on the CSNY as soon as i get time ....
