It was somewhat harder to appreciate it "in stream" as it was played so frequently 40 years ago ... But it is a strong song/statement that really resonates here, down the line.

(forgive if I misplace a word or two):
Now watch as the ball revolves and the night time falls. And again the hunt begins,
    And again the blood-wind calls.
By and by, again, the morning sun will rise.
But, the darkness never goes from some mens' eyes
It strolls the sidewalks and it roams the streets,
Staking turf, dividing up meat ...

What they have done to the people of this country with this bill is pure phucking EVIL.

I hadn't heard about the Krasnov thing. Media on the east side of the pond have either missed it, ignored it or were unable to verify it.

No shit, that and the golden showers rumors, and wanting desperately to be the one US developer to have full access, and really, remember WWII and the axis of evil: Germany, Japan and Italy….well we’re gonna turn into the bad guys now and become that with our good good pals Russia and China….
Only thing that makes “sense” for lack of better term.
What could possibly go wrong with such trustworthy bedfellows?

I've never heard of this either. I have just assumed that Trump recognises in Putin a man with similar traits as himself. Mainly centred on a willingness to misuse power as a means of securing power for themselves and the warped visions they have.

As a result of the recent actions and statements by the orange turd and his lackey, the obnoxious vice-turd, anti-American sentiment is increasing rapidly across Europe. Meanwhile, European political leaders are beginning to realise that America is no longer trustworthy and is no longer an ally and friend. The delusional British prime minister claims that the UK still has a special relationship with the US but the orange turd only seems to consider Israel and Russia as his allies and the rest of the world will have accept that the world order has made a dramatic shift.

I would agree that most of Europe now sees the U.S. as not trustworthy; indeed everyone I know now views America as an enemy but I don't agree with the criticism of Sir Keir Starmer who I feel has, in the words of James Cleverly "Not put a foot wrong." What he says in public, and if you watch when Trump makes yet another ill-informed decision Starmer, unlike his European counterparts makes no comment, and what he says in private are two completely different things!
Out of all the European leaders he is the only one who is playing Trump, just like Putin does.
Look at his response to Vance and his disgraceful "random" comments. Naming in The House British soldiers who died 13 years ago while serving their country and at the same time assisting their then ally the United States in Afghanistan, something which never normally occurs.
The handing over of the invitation from Charles was a piece of pure theatre and Trump loved it. And when Trump referred to Zelensky as "dictator", not for Starmer a quick and easy response on X but an invitation, a hug and a meeting with The King!
Brilliant!

It is hard to know what is going on behind the scenes, but there is so little trust left that national intelligence agencies must be worried about continuing to share intelligence with America, knowing that it might then be passed on to that nasty Mr. Pootin.

The only thing I know at the moment is I'm glad it's not me having to deal with this monster!

I wasn't really expecting much, but I was also really impressed by the way Starmer handled Trump. The difference in the I.Q. of the two men was palpable.
And yes, what a terrible position to be in - to have to meet Trump and secure his support.

I also thought Starmer handled the orange one well. I was referring to his address to parliament when he said that everything was still fine and the so-called special relationship remained intact. How can anyone be sure when dealing with someone as unpredictable as the orange one who says one thing one day and the complete opposite the next day.

Twice now tourists has been jailed and held for weeks without due process. 1st one was a German who went from her vacation in Mexico to visit LA with a US friend and was flagged as an "illegal alien" and handcuffed for claiming wrong visa as she was confused during her questioning about whether she was "working" during her stay. She was trading out her tattoo skills for clothing fashions the US woman makes and this has been a trade out they have done before. Jailed for weeks and still won't let her leave. Her mother in Germany even bought her a ticket home (which is the usual, you are told to leave and you do) which the jailers told her "is not allowed", you must get authorization before you buy the ticket. Now the second one was a UK tourist visiting the US and doing unpaid housework for her hosts for her lodging and tried to go to Canada for a similar gig and she has been handcuffed, jailed, no reason given, no due process, and no idea when they will let her go. Again, dubbed an "illegal alien" and detained in a facility she described as an ice box. Just gets weirder by the day!
Looking to a better day
Edit: Now reading Canadian visitors to the US for stays longer than 30 days will have to register with Immigration Services, pay a fee, get fingerprinted, and go through a background check. Proves my post title!

Also read a scary article about "Real Water" bottled alkalized water that has killed people and caused extensive liver damage in many. From a company in NV run by one of your former legislators. Apparently the process they ran their tap water through caused a chemical called hydrazine ( a component of rocket fuel) to be formed. Good thing the FDA is protecting us from such things. (not - took a couple years to recall it)
Cheers (and don't drink the water)

Edit: Breaking; Donald says the stock market dive, "doesn't concern him". Yeah, dude doesn't own stocks! And the White House looks like a Tesla dealership. Have to support his mini-me, poor guy's company has lost 39% of it value. Trump says he bought a Tesla to support the Doge-bag. BS! Guy never even pays for lunch, no way he paid for a car!

This is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen.

Way to knock out the knees of one of the only things that made America Great - our vast and accessible public education system that has been in place to inform Americans about the real world and reality.
Obviously this is not on any priority list of anyone in power.

dont waste your time. You will never find one. Keep the faith.

Ummm ... Hard No, thanks. JDV is explicitly for a "Post-Constitutional Order".

A better scenario (provided actual free and fair elections are permitted - TBH, a substantial if, IMO) is to have the current malfeasance and voter discontent lead to massive GOP losses in the house and sufficient constituent pressure, if not equal-sized losses, in the Senate in 2026 >> such that both of these buffoons can be legitimately impeached, convicted, and removed from any further "leadership".

Just sayin' ...
Edit: for Dennis > THEN, cue the slow disfiguring death.

If, as I believe, the spirit lives on after the body dies, we won't necessarily be free of him when his old body conks out. His spirit will merely move on to another. The only way out is to work at transforming this errant spirit. In him them you us etc.

Indeed after death your spirit is reincarnated, however, what body it is reincarnated in is down to karma. If your karma was bad you will come back as a cockroach, a shitfly or worse.
