The Grateful Dead had this artwork made for this venue, very nice art. I don't know if they used it at other venues.

Stage from left, showing Cal Expo on a nice May evening, first set in the sun, second set after dark. Miss this place. Neighborhood nearby voted to close venue because of noise, today they built a 2000 seat soccer stadium, maybe we can get Dead and Company back someday.

My wife had a cake made for my 50th. Turning 50 with the DEAD.

This simple bit of fan art was created to complement an installment of a newspaper column (entitled Getting to Know Why) that my co-author and I dedicated to "The Dead." My Late wife (Colleen Borne) Hand embroidered the artwork on a vest for me in 1975 and I had to transfer it to a new Bigger vest. (We get larger as we age!. I've worn this vest to every Dead Show since then. Even loaned it out to a few people to wear to their Dead Shows. Last show...2009 in Buffalo Dead Reunion.This is the Vest Front Bill Borne
