Days Of Dead

"Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad>Jam"
Hint:
Generally a song that came quite late in the second set, but for a couple of years it would occasionally appear quite a bit earlier in the second set

Providence, RI, Providence Civic Center
Usually coming after "Space," in 1985 and 1986, "GDTRFB" appeared a few times before "Drums," always a great get-up-and-dance song

    Few choices make it easy

many of this years had only a few choices....just one the other day
Today I found only 6 that fit the criteria, according to DBX, and only 15 minutes to search Relisten for my pick..100% so far

    Is it just me...

or have the selections this year been a little easier than some compared to years past? I missed about 6 days this month due to moving, but the days I've participated I've gotten pretty quick using DeadBase 50 and setlists.net / archive.org. Don't get me wrong, I still love the challenge but haven't had to resort to some of the deep dive sources so far this year or spend all day searching. Look forward to 30 Days all year and it gives me something special to do with the morning coffee! Thanks Dave!

    late to the party

Been a crazy year the time has got away from me. I have been 30 for 30 now for the last 2 years. Unfortunately this year 30 days of Dead slipped my mind...Oh well, I've got some listening to do. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

took a stab here and there and turned up rather quickly. couple certain clues made for rapid searching. then just got lucky. this is all happening way too fast. nice bit of music here tonight.

Congrats Dawg, way to persevere! I've been playing since 2017 and got lucky last year. They will contact you eventually and you will get your calendar. Now we cross our fingers and hope to someday land the big fish, the grand prize! Enjoy the rest of the month.

Did I hear a Crazy Fingers tease in there?

I heard Weir quote in UJB towards the beginning of the Jam, too.

Interesting to see this particular combo wasn't sui generis, not even in the same year.

That was there beginning of the end for me. It wasn't as much because of any of Jerry's struggles, but more the change in the scene. I just liked going more before they became 'popular'. I cringed when I bought mail order tickets and they included a note reminding people not to be 'jerks'

Less easy today, but not too bad. I think maybe I am getting better at this (18 correct counting today, and not counting three days I could not enter). Nine more days!

I really like this jam, and the clues are just enough to get you going, but you still need to know how to search efficiently!

Am I "FINALLY" "RuN off the RoaD" Pay attention at these shows or you just might get HIT with SOMETHING. After figuring out my DESTINATION there it was right in front of me the whole time. I have to "HanD" it to Dave as he made me work for it.

was about 90% sure, then using the buffalo hints it was just exactly perfect.
9 days left on this tour, make every day count.
seems to me like we've been here before

16-21 I’m happy

Not as hard as I thought it would be. Actually got it on the first try. Primary go-to resource doesn’t properly reflect the transition. Once you figure out the direction the band is heading you’ll end up exactly where you need to be!

Sometimes the hints help.

God, I love that Jerry rock and roll of a certain vintage.

Bob's screaming sounds better in the audience version

The debut of GDTRFB! For the old timers here, this show isn't a stranger by any means.

Didn't think it was gonna be that easy. Nice jam. Scyned beautifully (mostly) with the schoeps source but got way out of sync at one point because this tape has a cut somewhere after the 11 minute mark.

for this Nut to crack. But perseverence paid out and now I'm off to enjoy some nut butter and Jam for I am toast.

It seems to me that this year quite a few of the selections have been remixed or the extra compression creates a slight difference in the sound of the various versions available so one still needs a keen ear to be able to be sure we've got the match. Burnin off both of my ears!

I feel much better now that I finally found the right road to go down.
This one may not be easy for some.
I don't blame you if you don't want to be treated this way.
Took me about 40 or so versions to listen to.
I like a good challenge.
Thanks again to David and to the band for all this incredible music over the years.
I am certainly Grateful and Thankful.
