30 Days of Dead November 27
------ TURN OFF FUTURE & FORM -----
It's with deep appreciation and gratitude for you, the fans, that we'll be giving away an MP3 download every day this month. That's 30 days of unreleased Grateful Dead tracks from the vault, selected by Dead archivist and producer David Lemieux! Intrigued? We're also going to put your knowledge to the test and give you the chance to win some sweet swag from the Dead.
Guess the venue and date correctly and you'll be automatically entered to win our Grand Prize - a prize pack featuring our 2014 releases, merch, and more.
dude at the beginning sums this one up precisely.
waaahoooo!!!! time to get groovin
thanks 30 days team
guess thats pig or maybe bobby, probably pig. while i share his enthusiasm another interesting choice considering whats out there recording-wise, but nice to have non the less.
I think the first, short burst is from Pig. Bobby then gets excited and lets out the long whaaaooooaaaaaaw!
If I'm correct, I turned 12 the day of this concert...
see, people, if you're kind and patient, you get what you wanted.
although for the first few minutes in you only hear Pigpen off in the distance, then it clears up at the drum interlude.
anyway, 33 minutes of music !!! maybe everyone will be grateful
This is BS. No Picasso Moon, no Day Job, no Push Comes to Shove. I want classics, not this Alligator > Caution stuff.
When folks were posting about the "core tunes that we can all agree on" I didn't have the hear to say, "i never really liked Shakedown" - that was one someone's list of "agreed upon, universally loved core tunes".
That said, this year's Shakedown was dag-nasty. Fantastic stuff, so I may just give the tune another chance...
On vacation today. After I get some cooking done I'm gonna hunker down with some Alligators.
