"China Cat Sunflower" had been in the repertoire since 1968, and in late September 1969, it was joined with I Know You Rider, which the Dead had played a few years earlier as one of their mainstays of their live shows. "High Time" and "Dire Wolf" would both be released a few months later on Workingman's Dead

    started with 4

lots of cutouts, dead air, and song times conflict across the boards.
had a hard time getting any real sync i was comfortable with.
and in the end their were 2. So i picked one. that will either have me waking up 22 or 21-28, and having just as much fun.
    I bid u goodnite

    Busy All day

A late day catch after being to busy to be able to play but finally got there. That little bit of feedback helped me nail it down and reminded of some years past.

I must say I am loving these multiple song combinations!

I don't play the game but listen to the download every day. And, even though it seems to make November go by faster, I enjoy every day! I'm a deadhead in my 60's and wanted to thank you especially for today's drop. Have a gr8 Holidays!!

I think a different part of this show was released as a jam of the week or tapers' section selection. I wonder if it is a candidate for a Dave's Picks.

What an era this was. I never cease to be amazed with the Chinacat > Rider transition; still don't quite get it. Just Jerry genius-

…is my favorite, especially ‘81. I saw my 1st show on 3/2/81, my Senior year in High School. By the years end, I saw the band 5 times, twice back to back in intimate settings at Cleveland’s Music Hall and Pittsburgh’s Stanley Theater. My eyes were open to new territory to broaden my horizons. I moved on to greener pastures, as my High School Calculus and Physics teacher would say almost daily. I find today’s download more mellow. Watching my 69 year old Office Manager spin and flail to China Cat Sunflower is priceless. Another epic 30 Days Of The Dead 2023.

Just in case anyone is still in high school, Thursday's offering will be the 420th offering since 30 Days started back in 2010! Many thanks to Dave and all the other folks behind the curtain.

I'm officially stumped. It looks like it has to be one of 3 shows but it is none of those. This may be the curveball we've been expecting.

yet you are correct sir ! (Ed McMahan style !) … one of the 3, just as you suspect … give it another shot…. (don’t be the twenty seven out of ‘28’ !! like our colleague ;-)

This one's fat and over the plate. Only 2 I missed were the ones with ambiguous venues.

C'mon Dave, hit us with a that 1983 St. Stephen soundcheck from Greensboro...

Took me a while but I felt challenged by Wilfred's fat and over the plate comment and located another possibility that turned out to be it.

if you’re reading this, I succeeded ! … been trying to offer up the rare April Fools week download in 24-bit wav format …

the sentinels seem to find a way to thwart my offer ! .. DM & it’s yours

A quick find today. I guess I can take the time to get ready for the big 5 0 and renew that Dave's subscription.
