I mean just those words alone! What a way to start the day. Waking up and starting a new day with thiusands of people who I had never met AND the Dead, I thought that I had died and gone to heaven. The show was great and the day just got better!

Yeah Rusco, the US Festival was great. Unfortunately it wasn't just thousands of people. It was hundreds of thousands of people. I got separated from my peeps and never saw them again for three days! Lucky I found the damn car!

having done Veneta and Seattle, I knew when to quit, and I did not go. That Veneta show remains pretty close to heaven in my memory, and somehow I don't think the US Fest would have measured up. Not my dish, though I think lots of people had a great time. Also notable as an early rock/tech convergence, of course. Go Woz...
