Greetings. Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music by the Grateful Dead from 1973, 1984 and 1990.
Our first selection is from Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR, on 6/24/73, during a short tour of the west coast (Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, three in LA). From the second set, we have the big jam sequence of Dark Star> Eyes Of The World> China Doll > Sugar Magnolia, One More Saturday Night.
From a year later at Merriweather Post Pavillion on 6/27/84, we have the end of the second set, featuring Space> Morning Dew> Throwing Stones> Not Fade Away. These two shows at Merriweather were excellent.
Lastly this week, we'll head back to Oregon, to the first night of a two night run at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on 6/23/90, where we have the end of the second set, featuring Space > The Wheel > I Need A Miracle> Morning Dew, One More Saturday Night. We hope you don't mind two versions of Morning Dew this week.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
