I was thinking about the DSQ show I saw in Tucson a few years back....(1993?)
Heard about the show from KXCI (plug) and went down to the little theater the night of the show. I had no tickets and didnt know where the ticket window was. I asked a man where I could get tickets and he said that he couldnt go and sold me his for face value.. Turns out it was a orchestra pit front and center...WOW!
A mix of spanish/South American influenced music filled my brain for a couple hours and when it ended I went into the lobby and the band came out to chat with everyone. I got to thank them all for letting me expericence something that I had not heard before. I bought the current DGQ CD from their table, had them all sign it and my ticket stub.
What a way to be introduced to a different type of Dawg....Thanks!!
just wanted to share my Interview with David Grisman:
could you explain me what does mean exactly the crow for the grateful dead ???
does the crow is good or is it the devil and the tentation ??
this is the David Grisman topic, which is probably not the best place to ask that question. You might try the "In Search of Info" topic. Thanks!
hi everyone, I apologize ahead of time for the shameless plug, but since we're a hustlin' charity event we have to spread the word the old fashion way. Thank you so much for checking out our day of 18 bands with Grisman as the headliner.... all for cheaper than Grisman would cost otherwise, and all for children with heart defects. www.cbgbfestival.com
