the train pumpkin is one of 5,000 carved pumpkins on display at McCoy stadium in the Pawtucket RI. It started a few years back at a zoo and grew into this "event" at McCoy; home of the minor league 2007 World Champion Red Sox team...the Pawtucket Red Sox. It is a very nice small stadium. Bob Dylan played there last year and I heard it was very cool. Not sure how many artists continually work providing pumpkins with all kinds of different carvings from landscapes to celebrities, scary ones and all kinds. I took the kids there last Saturday...the line went all the way around the stadium. Being as it was an unusual 60 degree evening, thousands and thousands of people came. Even as we were leaving, cars were backed up to the highway. Wife and kids just couldn't hang for the 60-90 minute wait to get in so we opted for ice cream. We will try again next year. We will go the first week it opens when the fever is not quite as pitched. Had to take the online view which can be seen with the link below. Pretty sure that it is all carving....Happy Halloween! Peace. http://www.pawsox.com/ year.
