• The NYE That wasn't...
These are my tickets to the Phil Lesh & Friends and Bob Weir and Ratdog shows in San Francisco over New Year's 2008. I was very much looking forward to these shows and doing something different over New Year's. However, I lost my job and had to cancel. I sold the tickets and only have this picture of these tickets of the New Year's with the Dead that almost was...

    Feeling your pain, Bruddah
Whoda thunk times would ever be this bad on the Street? Still think you should have treated them as European instead of American and exercised at maturity instead of cashing out the position. Those were a couple of calls I certainly wish I had been long in, and would have been if I only had some liquidity for basis. It may take a bit but things will come around. Tough times don't make the need for investment go away. In some areas, like institutional buy side, it actually makes it more important. Keep smiling and dialing, something will turn up. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

    Thanks..
I truely appreciate everyone's kind words. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have been down this road before and I am ready for what to expect. However, having worked in finance, this is going to be a bit harder than before and all options are on the table. Thanks again for the well wishes. Rock on!

I second TC here. Major Bummer! Sorry bout the job, and from one in the same boat (sadly a couple of us here like that) wishing you all the best job-hunting vibes.********************************** Don't part with your illusions.
