This is a photo of the event poster for the Sierra College Pop Festival, May 3 - 4, 1969 in Rocklin, CA. The Grateful Dead headlined the show on the afternoon of May 3rd. I attended this show and managed to hang on to this poster all these years. The credit for the creator of this poster appears in the lower right corner. All it says is, "poster by FRED". Being a monochrome collage of some basic graphics, lettering and publicity / record album photos of the participating bands, it is far from an artistic masterpiece, however it is a genuine and very rare poster of the event and should be included in the Grateful Dead Archives. Enjoy!

P.S. After previewing this post, I see it says, "Posted December 31st, 1969 by cutter". It should say, "Posted July 13th, 2007 by cutter". Your website clock is off slightly...I do like that date however...Happy New Year!

thanks for the poster pic
Thanks for posting this, David, and congrats for hanging on to it!. I was at the show also, and was surprised to find (years later) that the Youngbloods used an aerial photo of the crowd for the cover of their album "Rock Concert" in which myself and my friends are clearly seen. You should check it out - maybe you are in there too!
p.s. the Alligator from that show still rolls around in my head
