    Pricing
Yeah , I just poked around & found the pricing as others have solidified, & much more reasonable for a more intimate venue( wonderful outdoor shed)lucky to have seen the GD there4x & Jerry & Bob.The rain show in 83 was one for the books, with the power kicking off 2xs during the show(crazy lighting bolts-luckily I found my way into a seat in the pavilion before the downpour). Probably won't be the GD up there but very interesting performers doing songs we've grown to love. I expect the tix to go fast, as with all the hype surrounding these final shows, anything that features all the members present is going to draw attention. They knew exactly what they were doing , announce the Finale first ,get everyone excited, and sell-out everything leading up to or added before the Big Bang. More power to them!!! They should get a huge payoff, they paid their dues, years & years of being on the road entertaining us, remember it wasn't till the end that they really started to make big $ that some of the other top RnR bands made for years. Face it you can only do this( anything) for so long, & time has taken it's toll on them , simple fact is old age is upon them & it's time to relax & enjoy. You control your own destiny , if you feel like experiencing it , do it , if not ,no problem, but bitching about how it's not right & how they fucked the whole deadhead universe.I'm tired of hearing about what Jerry would think also, Jerry would take every penny & blow it on his addiction. It's funny ,we thought Jerry was ripping us off back in the 80's w/ JGB playing 2 shows a night @ a whopping $15 a show (6 or 7 songs)to support his habit, sad but true, & I don't blame Jerry at all ,it's a disease, that unfortunately took him away before his time was up. Long live his memory, music,& his legacy

    dear jerry pricing
Pricing was initially released in their press release as $69.95 - $500. I called and the $500 tickets are VIP tickets. Not sure whats in the VIP package. Lawns are $70. And inside the shed is $200. Seems fairly priced to me. All complainers please stay home.

Not trying to be insensitive, and not blind to the fact that there were definitely tons of tickets snatched up by a-hole scalpers, but there were multiple presales in the first four days of this week, and apart from the citibank presale they were all open to the general public. So no one should be surprised that there were very few tickets left by the time the regular ticket sale began today at noon EST.

you're not insensitive, and I wasn't surprised. I am just really disappointed and frustrated that I have been shut out of EVERY vehicle available to get tickets for these (hopefully) awesome shows...well, I guess I;m not shut out of the scalpers' vehicle yet.

Don't give up, Sir Mkav. From one DFW (NRH) Deadhead to another, there's bound to be something cropping up...I'm thinking TM may cut loose with some between here and there. Keep checking, keep smiling.. BTW if you go to Stubhub tonite and buy tickets for Santa Clara, ya gets whats you pays for. G

As of yesterday tickets in the pavillion and lawn were available. Estimated 12000 to 14000 tickets sold today, so the few that were available presale were just that...few. They were harder to get than the general sale.

The only way we can stop the ticket problem when there are limited shows and tickets is under no uncertain terms do we pay scalpers prices or purchase any of these tickets. Once they start grtting stuck with them the prices will come down and we get the tickets. In 45 years I have always gotten tickets via mail order. I was fortunate to get 2 lawn seats through Citi presale but nothing for Chicago. Both sold out in minutes. We deserve the tickets and will get them if we don't cave. I think this is the only answer or just do mail order for all ticket sales. We can control the market.

I was super excited about seeing Weir, Lesh, Hart, and Kreutzmann at Merriweather Post Pavilion, which happens to be less than eight miles from my home. But I was frozen out from buying tickets online by greedy scalpers, probably armed with computer programs designed for that purpose. Earlier, I went to the box office about an hour before tickets went on sale, but left because I figured the 500 people in line ahead of me could not be accommodated, and that my best bet would be to go back home and try the computer. So I'm left with the wonderful memories of seeing Furthur at MPP, and the Grateful Dead at MPP and several other venues, going back quite a long time. Also, I have the memories of seeing Buddy Miller and Jorma quite a few times, and I hope to see them again in the future. I'll buy the DVD when it comes out, and the profiteers can choke on their ill-gotten tickets. I don't blame the artists, and I would have happily bought the VIP packages at face value, but this concert ticket model just isn't for me.

Now you can all plan a California trip, 2 nights @ Levi Stadium, probably be announced next week ,now that they sold out Merriweather , & after they sell that out , they'll probably announce a couple stadium shows in the NYC vicinity ! You guys really think they not gonna play NYC??? It feels good to be loved by millions again, I mean ain't this the same band that's been playing the last 20 years in smaller venues with little interest.

Seems like GA Lawn tickets have settle at $150 to $200 per ticket. Lawn tickets are $70 face with around $10 service charges. Not a bad price at 2.25 times face. Could be more ugly with scalpers. I see very few tickets for sale with inside seating. Don't understand why. I guess there are so few. Peace out........
