It's about that time to break out the banjo, gather up the family band, and let your creativity flow, visually and vocally. The DEAD COVERS PROJECT returns in 2018! We will be featuring selections on Grateful Dead properties all February long but you can send in your submissions as soon as January 1st. Simply upload your video to YouTube, tag it "DeadCoversProject," and we'll make it available to view on the band's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gratefuldead in February.

Dead Covers Project - "Friend Of The Devil"
I'm a singer/songwriter/bassist in NYC and I love covering the Dead. My husband Jeff (on guitar and backup vocals here, wearing his "Grateful Dude" shirt) has been a Deadhead for nearly 40 years and has covered their music for nearly that long. We've been introducing more and more Dead into our sets. This video also features our friend Tony Calabro on mandolin. This is Sugar Lime Blues 3rd time here - we just adore the Dead & it's so great to check out everyone's contributions each year. I was fortunate to see the Dead play this once in '88 at Irvine Meadows - thanks to Cindy Munson for turning me on to the band.

SerenityRoad, Submissions are over for this year, but for next year, I have some advice: I took a look at your tags. You have "DeadCoversProject2018" as well as "Dead Covers Project" The tag should simply be just: "DeadCoversProject" Your vids sound promising although not really a 'video' Best of luck in 2019.
