And many more!
Happy Birthday Mickey, what a great place to have your birthday party, Las Vegas baby. Have a great time and a wonderful birthday celebration, wish I could be there. Will see ya a couple weeks later in the mountains of NC.
Very nice work, i love it! I will be getting this new one for sure:)
I saw Mickey and the band at very small venue in north central CT last spring-they did most of the new songs from this new album. Great to hear it live with HEAVY bass.
I'm streaming the album on Spotify right now. 4 songs in at the moment - it's not reminiscient of the Greatful Dead, but I really like what I'm hearing. Very much a worldbeat style. It's good music that I can definitely see myself returning to.
I'd love to hear it performed live, but the closest show to me is a 3 hour drive on a Tuesday - unfortunately, I can't very well do that :(
thanks for the report!
My son and I saw the Mickey Hart Band in Jerusalem two nights ago. Great Show. The band played two sets for close to three hours. First set ended with Samson & Delilah--fitting for Israel and the encore was an amazing Stella Blue which followed Scarlet>Fire. Last time Fire was played in the Middle East was Egypt '78. Other highlights included ChinaCat>Rider, Franklin's Tower and Playing in the Band. The music from the Superorganism album was excellent. Mickey allowed us to sit in for the sound check prior to the show for over an hour. This was a real treat. The show took place in an outdoor amphitheatre at the Hebrew University which overlooked the Judean Desert and of course, the DEAD SEA.
