There's Still Time To Enter... But How?
Think you have what it takes to do the Grateful Dead? Show off your musical chops and you just might get your music video featured on Dead.net as part of The DEAD COVERS PROJECT! The rules are simple - all video submissions must contain a song either written by or recorded by the Dead. How that song is interpreted, however, is entirely up to you! Upload your video to YouTube, tag it “DeadCoversProject,” then we’ll make it available to view on the band’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gratefuldead. Not so musically inclined? Join the fun by “liking” your favorites.
During the entire month of February, we'll be highlighting a new fan-made video every day on Dead.net and Facebook. In March, five of the videos featured in February will be chosen and we’ll profile each artist on all of the Dead’s online properties and in the 2012 edition of the Grateful Dead Almanac.
I agree and feel the same way!! I am loving all the different styles but would like to see some of the fantastic female talent showcased again.

These guys are amazing! Listened to their other music on YouTube. Great originals too.Surprised their Midnight Moonlight and Jack a Roe were not viewed as much. This is the the next realm!! Cant wait to see them live! Hope they make it!

thanks that was for sure the most challenging part was trying to hear the other instruments in my head while laying down the drum and bass track. once i got to lead guitar and last keys it got alot easier

A quick note on my recent vid posted, solo acoustic China Doll - Hightime.
I never thought it would make it so quick into the dead's youtube page, and now it is double listed there. I touched it up with titles and fades and reupped to my personal Youtube channel here:
Sorry for the confusion. I didn't want to just delete it off my band's channel, and the newer one is cleaner.
The whole video thing is kinda new to me. I was inspired the other night watching Dead covers (There sure is some amazing talent out here !) , so decided to give it a quick go. My next hurdle will be adding in the pro audio, instead of the handycam mike.
