Individual sellers attempting to make a killing

So I went back and took a look at the ticketmaster site and the tickets seem to be from individual sellers, and there's not many of them. Still, it seems like scalping to me, which I thought was illegal. The back of my ticket says maximum resale restrictions may apply, e.g. PA: greater of $5 or 25% of ticket price, plus tax.(Penn's Peak shutouts, take note) So, what's the law here in California? Frankly, I'm tired of seeing all these street corner scalpers with wads of tickets in their hands. Usually I ignore them, but maybe tomorrow night I'll engage some of them in friendly, disingenuous conversations as to how did they get all these tickets, where did they come from, where is the money going to, and so on. Or maybe when one of them asks me if I have any extras to sell (as they always do), I'll yell at them to get the fuck away from me, you fucking rip-off, for a change. We'll see.

I have a question

On the SF Chronicle homepage there is a link to secondary ticket sellers asking between $85-$1000 per ticket (I am not making this up). How is this OK? And let's say not every one of these tickets is sold off, what happens then? Are they kicked back down to the box office as day of show tickets? Or do they unload them to the professional street scalpers? Enquiring minds who are limited to 4 tickets per household want to know.(I could have ordered 4, but I only ordered 2, by the way, cause I thought that's how it's done, you know, you let everyone who wants to go get a chance to get their tickets, but I'll bet I'll run into a few friends who are shut out) Is this part of what it takes in order to purvey any tickets at all through on-line, or even ticket outlet services, sort of like a package deal? Do they have you (the band) by the short and curlies? I just wanna know, cause I feel kinda sick. Thank you.

Mickey and Billy, special guests?

Mickey and Billy both in the area around that time, could it be? If so, will it be an omen of what is to come? Bring out your dead.

Parade

Yeah I saw that too. Is the parade through the civic auditorium? Seems almost impossible to fit a float through there especially since it is sold out! Crazy!!
