Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1977, 1981, and 1984.
Our first stop is on 4/25/77 in Passaic, NJ, a show released in 2015 as part of the massive 30 Trips Around The Sun boxed set. From this terrific show, we have the second set jam of Terrapin Station > Playing In The Band > Drums > Wharf Rat > Playing In The Band, US Blues.
Next is the start of the second set from 4/30/81 in Greensboro, NC, the tour-opening show, where we have Shakedown Street > Samson And Delilah; It Must Have Been The Roses ; Estimated Prophet> Eyes Of The World.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 4/27/84 in Providence, RI, where we have Playing In The Band > China Doll> High Time> Man Smart (Woman Smarter), including a rare sequence of two Jerry ballads back-to-back.
Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the Grateful Dead’s vault.
