Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1974, 1977, and 1978.
Our first stop this week is the Dead’s only Montana show, on 5/14/74 in Missoula, with the Wall Of Sound, where we have this spectacular sequence of Weather Report Suite>Dark Star>China Doll.
Next is the first set of the 5/12/77 show at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, there penultimate show at the Auditorium before moving to the Uptown a year later. From this opener of a two night run, we have Bertha; Me And My Uncle; Tennessee Jed ; Cassidy ; Peggy-O; Jack Straw; They Love Each Other; New Minglewood Blues ; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo> Dancing In The Street.
