Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1969, 1973 and 1989.
Our first selection this week is from 12/19/69 at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, where we have a good batch of music: Cryptical Envelopment > Drums> The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment > Uncle John's Band > Turn On Your Love Light.
From exactly four years later, from the show that would end up being released as the first Dick’s Pick, and that was the last show of the great year of 1973, we have the start of the concert from 12/19/73 in Tampa, FL, featuring The Promised Land ; Sugaree ; Mexicali Blues ; Dire Wolf ; Black Throated Wind ; Candyman ; Jack Straw.
Lastly this week we have the start of the second set from the Dead’s last-ever show at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, CA, on 12/10/89, featuring Jack Straw > China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider, Man Smart (Woman Smarter).
Be sure to join us next week for more music from the vault.
