Tapers Section By David Lemieux

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead from 1973, 1977, and 1978.

Our first stop is on the second big weekend show of May 1973, at UCSB Stadium in Santa Barbara on 5/20/73, where we have this big, classic-1973 jam of Truckin' > Nobody's Fault But Mine Jam> Jam > The Other One > Eyes Of The World> Stella Blue.

Next is first set music from 5/18/77 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, from the first night of a great two night run, featuring New Minglewood Blues ; It Must Have Been The Roses ; Lazy Lightnin' > Supplication ; High Time ; The Music Never Stopped.

Next is the entire first set from the final show of the Spring Tour of 1978 on 5/17/78 in Chicago, where we have this excellent batch of music: Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo> Franklin's Tower ; Me And My Uncle > Big River ; It Must Have Been The Roses ; Looks Like Rain ; Tennessee Jed ; Funiculi Funicula ; Lazy Lightnin' > Supplication.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
