Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have a double dose of 1972 Grateful Dead music, plus some great 1991 Dead.
Our first stop is at the second set on 8/12/72 in Sacramento, where we have this typically hot 1972 sequence of Greatest Story Ever Told; Ramble On Rose; Beat It On Down The Line; He's Gone > Drums> The Other One> Black Peter> The Other One; Truckin'.
From less than two weeks later, on 8/24/72 in Berkeley, we have Promised Land, Sugaree, Jack Straw, China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider, Me And My Uncle, Bird Song.
Lastly this week is the terrific first set from 8/18/91 at Shoreline, featuring Hell In A Bucket ; Jack-A-Roe; C C Rider > It Takes A Lot To Laugh It Takes A Train To Cry; Beat It On Down The Line ; West L.A. Fadeaway ; When I Paint My Masterpiece ; Stagger Lee ; Johnny B. Goode.
