    started by dstache Part 2 contains the remaining shows from the Spring tour, except for those that were officially released. Most of the shows here are in excellent sound quality, with the notable exception of 5/12, an AUD that is VERY rough at times but nonetheless an enjoyable listen. The first four slots are reserved for those that contributed to the gathering of this exceptional year.     I agree with you all
    About supporting the cause. However there are other ways to do it rather than dropping a $100 on a box set. I think I have done a decent job supporting them by purchasing over $1500 worth of Dead and RatDog concert tickets in 2009!! I'd rather save my pennies in case there is a New Years show to go to!! "I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel. Can't win for tryin. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time. Gonna make em shine."

    Why hesitate? You know the shows rock - and if you've heard the sound of what's out there, you know it's already great and that Mr. Norman will have taken it to the next level which will be awesome!!!!!!     I gave the AUD a B+ but that may be more as a result of the show being so good. The AUD has serious sound problems throughout but especially at the beginning. I am ordering the box set, partially because of 5/12, but mostly because I try to support the Dead when they release stuff I am interested in

    The bonus disc in the June '77 Winterland box has newly-mastered SBD excerpts of 5/12; how would you guys rate the quality of the 5/12 AUD? I'm just trying to make a purchase decision, though as an ardent fan of May '77 Dead it's more about trying to justify the decision I want to make. :-) Any thoughts? ~~~~~~~ "Reason tatters . . . the forces tear loose from the axis"

    in today's mail from California. Was not able to copy two songs, but both were from shows with two versions included, so I can tinker them in from the other version of the show. Thanks to all involved -Tommo

no complaints,but a heads up. 5/8 is not included, the discs are in really rough shape and my pc won't read disc 4. It is what it is. sign on if you wish. 3. poncho in 4/25 4.

Rough shape? They were in pristine shape when re-seeded. You guys using them as frisbees or garden stepping stones?
