7” SINGLES COLLECTION VOL 8: "LET ME SING YOUR BLUES AWAY" / "HERE COMES SUNSHINE" Released in 1973 on WAKE OF THE FLOOD, "Let Me Sing Your Blues Away" is the sole Keith Godchaux/Robert Hunter collaboration. The song was only performed live six times but what a beauty it is. Backed with "Here Comes Sunshine," this one - the last in our 2018 7" series - features the delicate artwork of Yuko Shimizu. A nice marbled orange color, I like the center label.

A word on the series - I like these things, I don't have a turntable set up so I don't know how they sound, but I like them. They may be shit, lousy recordings, not original release copy, etc, BUT, I like them. It's pretty damn cheap to buy at 45 bucks for the year. Is 11 bucks a 45 worth it? Don't know, but I like them. If I live long enough to get them all it will make a nice wall display. I think despite all the negatives about the recordings, once ALL the 45's have been release, there will be a decent demand for the complete series and the first year may prove hard to find. So I get them. Maybe you should too.
