started by Ltapilot Can you pass the acid test? Presented for historical purposes only, 42 years after the fist acid test. A word of warning these shows are a little weird and some sound quality is a little raw, but fun to listen to. Leanne, iknowurider, invited me to join in here, because she was moved by the story, I wrote to introduce myself to the people on this website. Now with no posts in here, I get the impression that it might be wrong/useless to post something here. But well, I just don't know and will send it, anyway. It is 2am over here and I need to take a nap, before I have to get up again. I am a native German, so all this ain't my mother's tongue. My English is not that bad and I am aware that these vineyards are about trading. But I don't know if it is only about trading Dead music, because then I would have only little to give. Except some 20 official GD (it don't like shortcuts, especially those I don't understand. while downloading like mad since friday afternoon, I already found out about a few) CDs, there is about 1,000 others on my shelves. So please tell a rookie, what this is all about and what to do, to get the landscape between my ears filled up with Acid Test music. andré

Sign up and in due course it will arrive in your mailbox. (Or not, as the case may be, as there are occasional postal mishaps, but because of the nature of all this what happens then is going back up the vine and re-sending.) Then pass it on to the next person on the list and listen to your heart's content!
Not sure if I'm doing this right. Do I have to post my home address? I would love to hear these recordings and pass 'em on!!!!
You need to send a private message to the person ahead of you on the list. Include your mailing address in the PM so we know where to send the discs. Once you receive them and copy them, send the originals on to the next person on the list. Peace, Richard

Got it today, will send it off to Hal R by Friday PEACE
I have to say, I can not believe the people who have never heard of the Acid Tests, Tom Wolfe's excellent books, or the Merry Prankster. For some reason, I thought reading ECAT was a right of passage for teenagers. Man, I'm glad to know ya'll! Thanks
Sounds like some kind of exam, like a test, yeah a test for heads.Read it about the same time as I got in to the Dead, 16yo in 1972, read it three times back to back. If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake

All I can say is I'm really hoping to hear these stuff myself soon.
I"m finally sending this off today. This is beyond trippy. I'm lovin it!! My family's glad to see these cd's gone, I've gotten a new pair of earphones out of this deal. he he PEACE

I know it will be a while, and I have the time to wait, but I am getting laid off from my job for medical reasons and I do not know if I will be able to handle being responsible for the vine, so I need to bow out of this one. I will sign-up again if I am able to pass it along. Thanks!
On February 6th, 2008 Hal R said: "Sent to Ltapilot today." On February 16th, 2008 Ltapilot replied,: "as of February 16, this vine has not arrived at my mail box." So HalR lets give the post office a few more days then I can burn a new set and send it along. i was the original viner of these, the shows were posted at the same time as "Pig Pen Bring Me My Shot Gun" with the same first five participants. Peace Rick

I sent the shows, don't know what has happened. Hope they arrive soon. The weather here was awful for most of early February, could that have caused a delay? 10 days is too long. If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake
Grateful Gooner, I tried to send a PM to you, but it looks like your account is set up so as not to allow them. Let me know how I can forward my mailing info to you. Thanks, Zac

And sent off to Brewster Boy. I have no idea how my name got put on this list. Well i do know but given the name of the vine, one must expect any thing to happen. and it did. Enjoy the vines every one. It is good to see a number of new names around here. Peace Rcik
I'd love to get in on this. Those are some very valuable discs to my ears. If someone answers me I will follow the protocol.
Of course you are welcome.. here is how its done... Please find the last list of names on the previous page. Copy and paste it into a new message with your name at the end of the list PM your USPS address to the person before you Wait about one week per name (sometimes more, sometimes less) On your day, the original discs show up at your address copy the originals to new discs or your hard drive or where ever SEND the ORIGINAL discs to the next guy enjoy your new tunes smile, smile, smile do nice things for others, ect.... Peace Rick ps great eye. little blood shot and no pupil but why are you staring at me?

just curious. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "And if you go no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone..."
But looking at the posts above I guess they should have arrived at Richard's place. And as Richard has both, Jeremy's and my, mailing addresses, we might have to wait a bit more until Richard's favorite post office has stopped shape shifting and stuff :+) andré
Sorry folks, I've been really sick for the last 2 weeks. Just got out of the hospital today. I'll get back on track with vines in the next day or so. Peace, Richard

I sent jeremy a PM asking for his home address but have not heard back. I got his address from andre but am a little reluctant to send this vine to him unless I get a response. If I don't hear from him soon, I think I should skip him and send to chichi. Chichi, you might want to go ahead and send me a pm with your address. Jeremy, if you are out there, drop me a note. Peace, Richard
A copy of the data DVD has been sent to Andre in Germany and the entire original package is in the mail to chichi. Carry on...... Richard
the Acid Test DVD has arrived in Europe. And will be reoffered at Vines Across The Waters. andré
