    We gave up on paps, and the vine was reseeded
    hey now erickat! "We" had no mixup, Paps stalled the vine. Back in the beginning of November I first PM'd paps regarding this vine. No reply. I pm'd her again two weeks later, still no reply. In mid December we gave up on it, and TNHG reseeded the vine, sending the copy to me in mid-December. The vine appears to be moving well now. Paps finally replied to me yesterday (after more than two months!) asking where to send the vine. I told her to keep the darn thing. She apparently needs help keeping track of vines, and also needs to read her damn PMs. Thanks for your help.     So.... looks like we had another mix-up
    This list has gotten hard to follow - and we've already had a couple of re-seeds. Apparently, Paps has the package & doesn't know where to send it - she never posted that she had received it & didn't know where to look to find out who was next in line. Keeping track is critical to prevent lost vines - I use an excel spreadsheet to track vines. Sample Vine Tracking Spreadsheet If this vine is off track - then whoever is next in line should PM paps & ask her to send it along - but be sure to post here, so everyone knows the status.

    The material on these six discs is must have for any serious collector/historian. I recognized a number of the passages referenced in Tom Wolfe's Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test when burning them. The Jer interview is great, both for the content of his answers and the background noise of people coming and going at 710. All in all good stuff; disjointed and poorly recorded, but eminently collectible. Here is the new list, unless we hear otherwise from playdead or Billy S: 30.     Billy and playdead got moved to the end because...
    ...they've disappeared, Billy S has anyway, been absent without replying to PMs for weeks now. Playdead PM'd me last week and said he was going to stop vining, for awhile at least. Probably OK to move mercedes up. Don't know what the deal is with boxen, thought he was fairly active still. Just don't let this vine disappear again, it's been reseeded like three or four times already, it's one of the first vines any new viner will sign up for. Leanne, iknowurider, invited me to join in here, because she was moved by the story, I wrote to introduce myself to the people on this website. Now with no posts in here, I get the impression that it might be wrong/useless to post something here. But well, I just don't know and will send it, anyway. It is 2am over here and I need to take a nap, before I have to get up again. I am a native German, so all this ain't my mother's tongue. My English is not that bad and I am aware that these vineyards are about trading. But I don't know if it is only about trading Dead music, because then I would have only little to give. Except some 20 official GD (it don't like shortcuts, especially those I don't understand. while downloading like mad since friday afternoon, I already found out about a few) CDs, there is about 1,000 others on my shelves. So please tell a rookie, what this is all about and what to do, to get the landscape between my ears filled up with Acid Test music. andré

(Or not, as the case may be, as there are occasional postal mishaps, but because of the nature of all this what happens then is going back up the vine and re-sending.) Then pass it on to the next person on the list and listen to your heart's content!

You need to send a private message to the person ahead of you on the list. Include your mailing address in the PM so we know where to send the discs. Once you receive them and copy them, send the originals on to the next person on the list. Peace, Richard

I have to say, I can not believe the people who have never heard of the Acid Tests, Tom Wolfe's excellent books, or the Merry Prankster. For some reason, I thought reading ECAT was a right of passage for teenagers. Man, I'm glad to know ya'll! Thanks

On February 6th, 2008 Hal R said: "Sent to Ltapilot today." On February 16th, 2008 Ltapilot replied,: "as of February 16, this vine has not arrived at my mail box." So HalR lets give the post office a few more days then I can burn a new set and send it along. i was the original viner of these, the shows were posted at the same time as "Pig Pen Bring Me My Shot Gun" with the same first five participants. Of course you are welcome.. here is how its done... Please find the last list of names on the previous page. Copy and paste it into a new message with your name at the end of the list PM your USPS address to the person before you Wait about one week per name (sometimes more, sometimes less) On your day, the original discs show up at your address copy the originals to new discs or your hard drive or where ever SEND the ORIGINAL discs to the next guy enjoy your new tunes smile, smile, smile do nice things for others, ect....
